Outstanding product

"I understand writing a review about a cartridge is what this is about and I will say that I’m very impressed with the entire system, especially with the ease of changing cartridges while on the go. I use my Grayl everyday compared to my Spouse so our usage is drastically different but the ease of use, quality of water and maintenance go unchanged. I like your products so much I purchased two additional systems for my friends living in Colombia after the 7.4 earthquake a couple months ago."

Peace of mind in mexico

"This bottle is great for peace of mind while traveling, bot just hiking. If you drink lots of water and hate wasting or lugging around water bottles while traveling this should be your go to solution. Im buying a second one already as my girlfriend stole my first one. My only comment would be for people with a weak grip strength removing the external sleeve to fill with water could be a bit difficult but for most people the grippy material on it is sufficient."

False advertisrment does not last 350 presses

"Cool product but just does not perform like advertised. Im just so disjointed in how hard it is too pull the 2 bottles apart to put water in too press. And ontop of that I used it 3 times in a creek that was totally clean and just after 3 presses its almost impossible to push down and take almost 45 seconds to fill. Ontop of that I doubt they will respond of do anything to keep me as a customer. Filters are 36 bucks plus shipping. Big thumbs down from me. Id like to ad I live in alaska and spend alot of money on hunting equipment. When I saw this product I had to have it and im just really upset with how its performed."

Best tasting water!

"I love my Grayl water bottle and filter. As an avid hiking, it’s indispensable. It’s easy to use and lasts a long time. I even tried it in nasty tap water with great tasting water as a result. It is a great product!"

— Chris P. (5/5)

Good Filter

"It's pretty difficult to remove the existing filter from the Grayl bottle. But I am glad I have this backup and the filter itself gives me peace of mind that my water is clear of viruses."

— Elizabeth W. (4/5)

Great product

"Took this on my last backpacking trip and it was so convenient. Filters water way faster and easier than my Sawyer Squeeze. I also like that it helps with heavy metals since Colorado has lots of old mines and I'm never sure what might be contaminating the streams. My only issue with it is it's bulky and heavy, but I'll still take it with me anyway because you can't beat the convenience."

— Christopher M. (4/5)

Water security

"I first saw the Grayl filter on a YouTube channel about the government advice to store water. It is reassuring to know this will give me extra water over any bottled water I have managed to store."

— Rose W. (5/5)

Filter cartridge

"It is incredible that Grayl has figured out a way to filter and purify of water. Rapidly with a replaceable cartridge, I will definitely continue to use this product."

— James E. (5/5)

Grayl

"It is the best filter out there. It is small, portable and complete; easy to use. The obvious choice in water filters."

— John E. (5/5)

Q&A

How long can the same filter be used (daily) without risk of fouling?: Great question. However, there is no actual hard and fast rule. With that said, if used daily, a great habit to adopt would be to perform a complete cleaning and drying every 10-14 days.
Hi, I live in Switzerland and have just realized that there are two different models available for the geopress purifier filters and I was wondering if they are both original parts. The one model is the one shown on your page where the openings for water are arranged in groups of 6 horizontal slits. In the other one the openings for water are arranged in groups of 3 vertical slits. I just don't want to pay for some cheap copy of your product which is labeled with grayl. Thank you for your help.: Thank you for reaching out, and great question. The filter with the vertical ventilation slits is a first generation filter, while the one with horizontal slits is second generation. They are functionally identical in every regard with the only difference being that the second generation filter is also compatible with the one way drink mix valve.
Is the inner press, top, and outer shell dishwasher safe?: All bottle components (besides for the filter), should be handwashed with warm water and soap.
Hi I was wondering if these filters are freeze safe for cold climates? If the water freezes in the bottle with the filter is the filter safe to use?: Thank you so much for reaching out. They are perfectly functional after a single freeze and thaw cycle, but are not viable after multiple freeze and thaw cycles. Precautions around freezing only apply to wet filters.
I see you no longer sell the blue filters, the ones that only treat for taste. Will you be bringing them back or are you strictly selling the purifying filters only?: In addition to being a purifier, the current cartridges are also filters. Meaning, they also improve taste (odor and color) as they are loaded with ultra-powdered activated carbon.
