Overview
Exclusive & Limited. GeoPress® Titanium “Black Edition” is unlike any purifier we’ve ever created. Our signature CP4 Grade 1 titanium bottle is coated with an uber-tough, specialized Black Titanium PVD high-performance coating. Titanium PVD withstands abrasion, corrosion, drops, fire, and even reduces friction while pressing. The extremely durable, low friction finish provides protection against wear and makes the bottle easier to handle and clean. Laser-etched in gold and dressed to kill, it promises to deliver in tough conditions and mock danger at every turn.
Made from CP4 Grade 1 Titanium, GeoPress® Ti Black Edition’s surface is hand finished and protected with a complex PVD Coating that is incredibly abrasion and heat resistant for unparalleled durability.
Engineered and designed for maximum compatibility and functionality in backpack pockets. GeoPress® Ti slides into pockets with ease.
Filters & purifies in 8 seconds per 24 fl oz (5 liters/minute). Removes virus plus bacteria and protozoa. Filters microplastics, chemicals and heavy metals. Powdered activated carbon improves taste, smell and clarity. Cartridge lifespan is ~350 presses (250L/65 gal).
Large folding handles sized for optimal functionality for boiling water and cooking at camp alongside hot coals or on most pocket stoves.
It’s an all-in-one vessel for quickly making clean water and one-and-done cooking. Filter by the water’s edge and bring back to camp to prepare a great tasting “bug-free” meal on a pocket stove. Paired with the accessory G-Ti Cook Lid, efficiently boil and strain with ease in this multifunctional setup.
The G-Ti Cook Lid transforms the Outer Cup into a multi-functional cook pot, allowing for quicker cooking, smoother pouring, and effortless straining. Experience the ultimate convenience and simplicity as you filter and purify water for your hot drinks and meals!
A pre-installed one-way silicone drink mix valve, allows electrolytes or sport drink mixes to be added to your Grayl without compromising the integrity of the filter. It also allows GeoPress® Ti to be used with a variety of flavored drinks such as juice, bubbly water, mocktails and cocktails (fill from topside of bottle).
The easy-pouring G-TI Cook Lid allows water to boil faster in your GeoPress Titanium. Loop a stick or camp utensil through the convenient d-ring to remove the lid.

The titanium version is distinctively different in size, bumper design (none), pack pocket friendliness, and versatility with stoves. GeoPress® Ti is slightly smaller in both diameter and height making it easier to handle and optimally sized for any backpack pocket. It's also bumper-free which makes it incredibly easy to slide into pockets with ease. The Outer Ti Cup features large folding handles sized for optimal functionality for boiling water and cooking at camp alongside hot coals or on most pocket stoves. GeoPress® Ti is undoubtably Grayl's most engineered bottle to date.
Both models offer the highest level of protection from waterborne pathogens (99.99% of virus, 99.9999% of bacteria, and 99.9% of protozoan cysts, including Rotavirus, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Giardiasis, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Cholera, Salmonella, Dysentery). They also filter many heavy metals, chemicals, and microplastics.
Grayl® Titanium Bottles are made from CP4 Grade 1 Titan, BPA-free polypropylene #5, food-grade silicone, TPE and ABS food-grade plastic. Our products are designed in Seattle, Washington, and manufactured by our partners in China with the exception of our cartridge media which is produced in the United States.
Yes, experience the hydration benefits of electrolyte-infused water in a UltraPress® or GeoPress® when equipped with a One-Way Electrolyte & Drink-Mix Valve (available since April 2023).
Always add electrolytes into the clean drinking water side. Avoid adding flavoring or electrolytes directly into a cartridge not equipped with a One-Way Drink Mix Valve, as it can diminish the cartridge's lifespan and efficacy. In those situations, pour the clean drinking water into another water vessel and then add electrolytes or flavorings.
To avoid contamination, use the Spout Cap. If dirty water comes in contact with the Inner Press, wash the Grayl (not the cartridge) with soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Alternatively, dilute contaminants by pressing and agitating water through your GeoPress® Ti Bottle 5-7 times.
There are a variety of available methods to avoid cross-contamination during transfer of clean water into your Outer Ti Cup when preparing hot meals. Really depends on the environment you're in at the time you're preparing to prepare hot water. Below are the two most common methods.
Method #1. Purify and filter your water, separate your Inner Purifier Press from Outer Ti Cup; then wash your Outer Ti Cup with biodegradable soap. Disperse suds and lightly rinse with a little clean water before filling with clean water and bringing to a boil.
Method #2. Purify and filter your water, then separate Inner Purifier Press from Outer Ti Cup. Then dump excess water from Outer Ti Cup and towel dry the inside of the Outer Ti Cup prior to filling with clean water and bringing to a rolling boil.
To maximize the lifespan of a cartridge, always choose the clearest water. GeoPress® cartridges deliver ~350 cycles (250 liters / 65 gallons) while UltraPress® offer ~300 cycles (150 liters / 40 gallons). Water quality matters; avoid silt and sediment. Preemptively filter out silt and sediment with a handkerchief or t-shirt to extend the life of a cartridge.
The time it takes to press with your GeoPress® or UltraPress® will gradually increase over time. We recommend replacing the cartridge once the 'press time' reaches approximately 25 seconds (or three years have passed since the first use). Please note that colder water may require longer pressing time and does not necessarily mean the cartridge needs to be replaced.
An unused and airtight cartridge can be stored for up to 10 years. Once opened, use it for 3 years or until press time is ~25 seconds.
GeoPress® cartridges filter and purify most freshwater sources. Avoid using them with salty or brackish water. When treating freshwater, start with the cleanest water available, such as streams and rivers.
Grayl's activated carbon effectively adsorbs many chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, etc. However, it is not designed for industrial disasters, coal ash spills, high lead levels, mercury, nuclear disasters, high tannin concentrations, or water with toxic blue-green algae (e.g. cyanobacteria). Find another water source in those situations.
Grayl cartridges are designed to remove low levels of chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, etc., but are NOT designed to protect against industrial disasters, coal ash spills, very high lead levels, mercury, nuclear disasters, high tannin concentrations or water that contains toxic blue-green algae (cyanobacteria). In these conditions, it is very important to find another water source.
Grayl® cartridges contains non-woven ceramic fibers that have a high electropositive charge. These fibers effectively block and trap microorganisms and particulates, ensuring that submicron contaminants are removed through electroadsorption. Additionally, the cartridge is equipped with ultra-powdered activated carbon, which efficiently adsorbs chemicals, heavy metals, bad flavors, and odors.
Proper maintenance for your GeoPress® Titanium is crucial for optimal performance. After your adventures, ensure to follow these simple steps to keep your purifier in top shape. Start with a 'dry press' by pressing the wet purifier into the empty Outer Ti Cup and disposing of excess water. Next, remove the cartridge and allow it to air-dry for 2-4 days. For the remaining components, hand wash them with warm, soapy water and let them air-dry. To maximize the lifespan of the cartridge, store the unit assembled. With proper care, the cartridge can last up to three years.
