OVERVIEW

Replacement purifier cartridges for the UltraPress® (and Ultralight) are designed to last 300 cycles (40 gal. / 150L). Lifespan will decline when purifying water with high levels of silt, sediment or tannins. Cartridge press time increases towards the end of the cartridge lifespan; when press time reaches 25-30 seconds, the cartridge should be replaced. UltraPress Cartridge removal

01 REMOVAL

Locate the Purifier Cartridge “lock tab” at bottom of Inner Press. Then pull out the “lock tab”and unscrew the cartridge (lefty loosey) until it separates from the Inner Press.

02 INSTALLATION

Firmly grasp Inner Press, then insert cartridge into bottom of Inner Press.

03 ROTATE AND LOCK

Rotate the cartridge (righty tighty) until you feel the 'lock tab' firmly click into the lock slot. Do not over tighten..

TASTE THE RIVER
WITH ELECTROLYTES.

The silicone One-Way Valve prevents liquid from reversing direction and flowing back into the filter Cartridge. Allowing the use of electrolytes, drink mixes, and other beverages with your Grayl UltraPress® Filter & Purifier Bottle.

Compatible with older UltraPress® Cartridge versions.

UltraPress at in Palawan, Philippines
I drink from the tap at Manila airport in the Philippines. A custodian was freaking out as i filled up our water bottles until he saw my filter it out. I think he was still in doubt but we were fine. I continued to fill from the tap at all our hotels

NOT vacuum sealed!
Any carbon filter must be vacuum sealed to prevent is from absorbing moisture from air and thus expand its shelf live and make it safe to store in moist environments. It also protects filter in case of a flood and other situations when it could get wet. These

Maksym, Our cartridges are prepared by and ship in premium clamshell packaging for good reason, we aim for the best possible products and packaging possible. There are no marketing gimmicks at Grayl. We aim to be as authentic as possible. The ultra-powdered activated carbon in our cartridges will not rapidly degrade in our packaging as your review suggests, its simply false information. And we openly encourage customers to keep their spare cartridges in the packaging they arrive in or to wrap them in Saran Wrap or to vacuum seal in a bag and style of their choice as long as they minimize the air around it. In addition, we encourage our customers to keep packaged cartridges in a cool, dry place. Contrary to the info you present in your review, we and outside experts have concluded that our retail packaging in no way, shape or form compromises the qualify and performance of our cartridges, nor does it shorten shelf life. The carbon in our cartridges, as you know, is included to filter many chemicals, metals, and found tastes and odors. Unlike many carbon filtration media commonly found on the market, our carbon is premium and not a gimmick. Our carbon is calibrated and tuned to perform and is not there as a marketing gimmick. Awesome water filtration system

Does everything I need!
